On the Edge of Being Eighteen

             by Cindy Xin 20'

Being at the transitioning period from a kid to an adult, I am nostalgic about childhood but also excited to step in to the future. There are times I feel like my capacity is limited, and times I feel that I have endless possibilities. Sometimes I still consider myself an unsophiscated kid, but sometimes I see myself as an independent thoughtful young adult. On the edge of eighteen, there are many questions, confusion, and uncertainty. In this work I shared my random thoughts about being at this special age. Maybe some of you can resonate with this work. “Time waits for no one.” Years after, when we look back to this age, we might have already found the answers to all the questions.
